Delivery was prompt at just seven days from ordering the part, and although it arrived in a bubble-wrapped envelope, the part itself wasn't in any sort of box to protect it from being crushed.
As for fitting the part, it should have been an easy swap, but it turns out that all the pins in the connectors that connect to the wiring inside the scooter are twice as wide as the original pins. As a result, they literally have to be forced into position. My initial plan was just to disconnect each lead from the old board and connect it to the new board, but soon discovered that the wires inside those connectors on the old board are soldered into place, and can't be removed. That explains why these new boards arrive with the leads already attached. It somewhat defeats the purpose when the pins are too wide and have to be forced into position.
After doing so, it was then a case of trying it out, but there was no response when pushing the power button. I tried a combination of pushes, from a single short one to pressing and holding for 1 second, 2 seconds and right up to 5 seconds.
I'd return the item and ask for a refund, but I suspect it would be rejected because I had to force the connectors into the old ones. The attached photo shows the difference in size of the pins, the old connectors on the left and the new connector on the right.
